Line: South Carolina -7
When: Saturday, Oct. 28th, 2017, 3 p.m., SEC Network

Head Coach Derek Mason and his Vanderbilt Commodores return to action after a bye week, facing South Carolina, as the ‘Dores travel to Columbia. The Gamecocks are fresh off a bye after a win over Tennessee on Oct. 14.
The Commodores look to right the ship against the Gamecocks on Saturday, as they look to get back in the win column – The Commodores have dropped four straight games.
Vandy sits with a 3-4 overall record, as the Commodores look to even their record at an even .500 at 4-4. With games against Western Kentucky, Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee remaining on the 2017 schedule, the ‘Dores look to end the back half of the season with a bang.
South Carolina will be without dependable Wideout Deebo Samuel, lost for the season, and Running Back Rico Dowdle, on Saturday – two key playmakers on the Gamecock offense. The Commodores look to snap an 8-game skid to the Gamecocks on Saturday. Derek Mason looks for his second road victory as Head Coach, picking up a 17-16 victory against Georgia in Athens last season.
Vanderbilt looks to regain their swagger on defense, hoping to aid a more improved Vanderbilt offensive attack thus far this season. Vanderbilt’s key is a sense of urgency, because they in fact, have nothing to lose, but more to gain.
