Fall Camp has begun and ‘Dore Jam is just around the corner, signifying the start of the much anticipated college football season for Vanderbilt.
The fan friendly event is slated for Saturday August 5 from 4-6 p.m. inside the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility found between Natchez Trace and 25th Avenue South.
The fan day experience, brings thousands of Commodore fans to campus for an afternoon of autographs, photographs and family fun, with some new amenities to be added.
The ‘Dore Jam will feature live music and menu items from some of Nashville’s best food truck vendors, starting in August.
The event offers fans a chance to greet their favorite Commodore players, head coach Derek Mason and his coaching staff.
Free posters, parking, and admission to the event is provided.
In addition, numerous activities for young fans such as: inflatables, punt, pass and agility races, face painters, and balloon artists will be part of ‘Dore Jam.
Vanderbilt mascot Mr. C and Commodore spirit leaders will be on site, providing team spirit and photo opportunities with fans.
Vanderbilt’s 2017 schedule features seven home contests including Kansas State, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, and Missouri.
The 2017 season kicks off with a trip to Murfreesboro to take on Middle Tennessee State on Sept. 2.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. inside Floyd Stadium.
