Game time set for Alabama A&M game

Kickoff set for Dores’ home opener on September 9

Nashville, Tenn. – Vanderbilt is set to open the team’s home schedule against Alabama A&M on September 9 at 3 p.m. on SEC Network Alternate.

Game times for the Commodores’ first three games of the 2017 schedule are now set. The Dores open the season at Middle Tennessee on September 2 at 7 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. Vanderbilt opens the home slate the following week against the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M in the first of three straight games at Vanderbilt Stadium. VU hosts Kansas State on September 16 on ESPNU at 6:30 p.m. The Dores wrap up the three-game home stand on September 23 against Alabama.

Vanderbilt hosts seven home games in total in 2017, including, games against Georgia (October 7), Western Kentucky (November 4), Kentucky (November 11) and Missouri (November 18).

The Commodores open preseason practice on Monday afternoon under head coach Derek Mason, who enters his fourth season at the helm for the Dores. The team hosts its annual Dore Jam event on August 5 from 4-6 p.m. inside the Multipurpose Facility.
